Tonight, around 11 p.m., a group of at least 60-70 African American youth marched down one of the side streets (W. Thrush) to the 4 lane main drag (Sheridan). They were yelling threats to white residents. Things such as we need to kill alll the white people around here. They were physically intimidating anyone calling for help from the police. They were surrounding cars. Cars on the main drag had to slam on their brakes to either avoid the youth blocking not only all four lanes, but a large section of the side street as well. fights were breaking out among them. They were rushing residents who looked out their doors, going on to porches, yelling threats to people calling the police for help.
Cars were doing U turns on the streets just to avoid the mob, mostly male. One youth stated his grandfather was white and several assaulted him on the spot. One police officer answered the call. The youth split into two large groups, one heading north, the other south. They were also yelling racial threats to the police officer but he was outnumbered. Another police car did not show up until after the youth finally dispersed and the patty wagon (van) also eventually showed up.
Residents are very shaken, both black and white alike. This is the fifth large mob action in about a month with smaller groups of 10-12 are out threatening children and adults a few evenings a week or later into the night. The times vary, even occuring during the day. In talking to the police officer, they are short staffed. Residents were advised to simply keep inside and to lock their doors. In other words buckle down, it’s not even safe to sit on your porch or go into your yards.
 
“The fifth large mob action in about a month.” Wow. This is really outrageous. Why is this neighborhood having to put up with this? “Residents were advised to simply keep inside and to lock their doors”? Seriously? That’s the best we can do for our fellow citizens’ safety?
This needs to be addressed, and quickly.

If we're going to have a conversation about race, we should include violent black mobs in the list of conversation topics.  After all, recent mob violence is the closest our nation has come to widespread racial strife in over 50 years.
 
Of course, liberal elites are quick to associate white violence with right-wing politics or white supremacy.  But what happens when mob violence is carried out by favored minority groups or liberal constituents?
 
Time and again over the last few years, mobs of black youths attacked mostly white victims in Philadelphia.  There were at least 6 such mob scenes in Philadelphia during 2009 and 2010.  These black mob attacks, euphemistically named "flash mobs," have not received anything close to the attention they deserve.
 
These horrible mob attacks must be viewed in the larger context of interracial violence in America.  Department of Justice statistics show that 33% of white murder victims are killed by a non-white while only 8% of black murder victims are killed by a non-black.
 
Even greater disparities exist in violent crime and robbery.  The disparity in interracial crime is certainly indicative of some form of extremism, racial hostility, or selective targeting.  The mobs reflect something worse: organized and widespread anti-white ethnic violence.

This problem is nightmarish in its implications: a subset of the population has no self-control, was not raised to control violent impulses, and evidently gets pleasure out of hurting other people -- particularly people of other races.  This type of person usually has done nothing to create anything of value, but rather destroys for pleasure.  They organize using social media, and their goal is mayhem.  They have been coddled and socialized by the welfare state and public education system.  With an aggressive sense of entitlement, and no regard for others, they will predictably become more violent.  The mobs reflect an undesirable character type, and the vast majority of those in "flash mobs" are of the same race.

When there is some fanciful, theoretical possibility that returning veterans could be recruited by extremist organizations, the Department of Homeland Security takes note.  In 2009, the DHS released a report claiming that "the return of military veterans" could expand the pool of extremists.
 
DHS was so eager to make connections between politics and violence they concluded that "white supremacist lone wolves pose the most significant domestic terrorist threat."   If this is the way liberal elites make connections between politics and violence, then shouldn't they respond to black "flash mobs" in a similar manner?
 
Yet, the racial aspect of the "flash mob" phenomenon is not seriously covered in the mainstream media.  This is proof of systematic racial bias in reporting, and a failure of leadership across the board in our society.  The mainstream media is in effect using a filtering process that downplays violence by blacks against whites.  The result is that a significant social problem is not being addressed.
 
Flash mobs are the closest our nation has come to widespread racial strife in over 50 years.  Flash mobs, if unaddressed, will evolve into further racist attacks against whites.  By failing to report acts of ethnic violence, by any race, the press fails part of its role in our democracy.  Moreover, if our legal, political, and academic leadership had more intellectual and moral integrity, the "flash mob" would be taken as seriously as "hate speech," racial profiling, and other non-violent offenses against minority feelings.

The best way to deter a violent flash mob is to stop it from forming.  The best time to stop it from forming is when the potential congregants are 2 and 3 years old, not when they are 16, 20 and 30 years old.

Flash mobs are not new.  In Black communities across America for the past 30 years, large groups of Black males have attacked others.   In the past few years, jobless, desperate, hopeless youth have rioted in France, Greece, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Tunisia, and Egypt in efforts eerily similar to America’s flash mobs, but on a much larger scale and with politically clear motives and demands.  These youth have taken over business districts, cities and counties and they have destroyed billions of dollars in property while toppling governments.  The same root causes for these youth riots and disturbances in Europe and Northern Africa are producing similar actions, and possibly similar politically conscious attitudes, in the youth of  Chicago, New York City, Charlotte, Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and other American cities.
 
 
Politicians and the police are working under the false and dangerous assumption that  hopelessness and despair can be policed.  The police are out-numbered and out-maneuvered in this battle of minds, spirits, bodies and technology.   Even as thirty-three flash mobbers were arrested in Chicago this past week, the communities in Chicago were producing a thousand more potential flash mobbers to replace them.  When Black boys are not reading at grade level by the third grade, we are creating conditions for a flash mob.  When Black teenagers cannot find meaningful work, we are creating conditions for a flash mob.  When young Black boys do not have suitable role models and mentors, we are creating conditions for a flash mob.

These police forces should take a page from the Pittsburgh Police Dept.

I was in Pittsburgh in 1983 when the steel workers made some trouble on Market Square, downtown Pittsburgh. If their unions had negotiated in an honest way there would not have been any trouble in the first place. (Later the entire of all South Side steel mills closed along with the Homewood mill....gone FOREVER!!!) In any event, they were on Market Square yelling at anyone who they deemed worthy of being terrified including a couple that was coming to meet me and my now wife.

What the Pittsburgh Police did was bring in 5 Canine Units....of the 5 only one was ultimately used....that dog tore up 4 of the dumb bastards that were stupid enough to not obey direct police orders. Those police dogs are AWESOME!

THEN these assholes had the temerity to try and sue the police....that was quickly thrown out and there were no more riots by the steel workers. In fact, there were no more steel mills and America went from being the leading steel producer in the world to being the leading buyer of steel in the world.....thanks to our wonderful left wing union buddies.

Now we have a half wit giving the unions pretty much what they want.....they don't have to participate in the ridiculous Obamacare.....they got special deals when GM and Chrysler went bankrupt (Their retirement and Medical was paid in full while Bondholders and Stockholders got ZERO)......then for reasons known ONLY to our fearless leader Obama, they got 14% share in GM....how in Gods name does that work?
