I really wanted to skip work today...
 
Unfortunately, a massive fustercluck occurred late last night that will have to be dealt with and I am training someone to take over one of the many aspects of my position and some of the materials arrived late last night as well and I have to get her introduced to it today...
 
I keep trying to convince myself that I should just say to hell with it...but I can't do that, never have been able to.

Though looking back, I really do wish I had skipped...as soon as I walked in, was met w/ another major fustercluck that sent me through the roof...and I ended up in a heated "discussion" w/ a manager who made decisions that affect my crew, w/out their consultation or permission...and now have to spend my time fighting to get it reversed.  I have been applying for other jobs w/in the company because things have gotten so out of hand in my area...this company's response to anything is to throw bodies at a problem, and not give anyone any direction or expectation that they will work w/ the people already there.
