Nearly 80% of Americans now consider fast food a 'luxury' due to high prices!

Survey: Half of those polled see fast food as too expensive because they’re struggling financially!

Has a trip through the drive-through become an extravagance? The vast majority of Americans say so.

A recent nonprobability survey conducted by LendingTree found 78% of consumers now consider fast food to be a "luxury" purchase due to how expensive the meals have become.

Half of those polled said they view fast food as a luxury because they’re struggling financially. This is especially true among Americans who make less than $30,000 a year (71%), parents with young children (58%), and Gen Zers (58%).

Americans love their fast food, but a majority say they are pulling back on their consumption due to high prices. The findings show 3 out of 4 Americans typically eat fast food once a week, but 62% of respondents said they are eating it less frequently due to the cost.

Housing prices hit another record high as the affordability crisis deepens!

Buying a house just became even more expensive!

The cost of buying a new house just hit a fresh record even as mortgage rates pulled back from a five-month high, according to a new report.

Findings from Redfin show the median U.S. home sale price soared to $387,600 during the four weeks ended May 19 – a 4% increase from a year earlier. The monthly mortgage payment at that price, when accounting for the 7.02% median interest rate for a 30-year mortgage, is now $2,854. That is roughly $20 shy of April's record thanks to a slight drop in mortgage rates.

Small business owners nationwide are sounding the alarm over another four years of Bidenomics as inflation chips away at their bottom lines.

"Biden should do something about it, and he should never continue because he only [cares] about himself and his family," Pluto Organic Cafe owner Maher Youssef said on "Fox & Friends" Thursday.

"We're all struggling. Everybody is struggling. I don't know how we are going to continue like that."

Housing prices soar to a new all-time high in March!

US housing prices hit a fresh record in March as the affordability crisis deepens!

Home prices reached a new record in March amid an ongoing housing shortage, even as high mortgage rates pushed affordability out of reach for more Americans.

Prices increased 6.5% nationally in March when compared with the previous year, the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller index showed on Tuesday, the same as the previous month. It marks the fastest pace of growth since November 2022.

Mortgage demand slumps as interest rates cross the 7% threshold!

A key measure of home-purchase applications fell to a three-month low as mortgage rates started to rise again.

The Mortgage Bankers Association's (MBA) index of mortgage applications slid 5.7% for the week ended May 24, according to new data published Wednesday.

The data also showed that the average rate on the popular 30-year loan rose to 7.05% last week from the previous level of 7.01%. While that is down from a peak of 8% in October, it marks the highest level for interest rates in a month.

Mortgage rates increase to 7.03%!

Mortgage rates top 7% again after falling for the past month!

Mortgage rates increased this week for the first time in a month, returning above 7% as the home affordability crisis continues to hurt demand in the housing market.

Freddie Mac's latest Primary Mortgage Market Survey, released Thursday, showed that the average rate on the benchmark 30-year fixed mortgage rose to 7.03% this week from 6.94% last week. The average rate on a 30-year loan was 6.79% a year ago.
