yes, I heard the Canadian wildfires have decided to smoke out the east coast...

I'm inside and coughing. It's like living in a haze. They upped us to code purple, worse than red.

The west coast has experienced these wildfire smoke incursions for years...

As someone suggested, just turn on giant fans and blow it back to Canada, LOL

News reports this AM indicate the smoke has already infiltrated northern Alabama and Georgia.

It's clearing up here...I just cut lawn with no problems at all. I can't imagine living our west dealing with this kind of event so much.

That can be so uncomfortable, sunshine, when you have to go outside.  I guess we all have masks now, right?  I remember in September 2020 we were all packed up and ready to evacuate when notified as the fires burned in the hills and came down so close to us.  It was the start of a very bad year for me and so many people up in the canyons lost their homes and some their lives.  Some of them are still re-building up there.  I told my neighbor we should move to the beach and he said that would be an invitation for the long predicted earthquake/tsunami in the Cascadia subduction zone to erupt.  Just hang in there!

It's always something somewhere with the weather....but I believe where we are ,there are the least amount of disasters....unless you count what happens in DC.

The Canadian wildfire smoke has reached northern Illinois.  Some days more noticeable than others.

It's been very noticeable for my daughter and SIL in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  From outside their apartment window, it looks like low flying clouds.
