Getting closer all the time but only rain. How is it out west? Sound like you all got a lot.

Nice and cold so I am wishing for some of that global warming!

We're in between storms.  But it's down in the low 20's...I already hate winter...

I would welcome the dreary 40 and rain. 

Next week, I'll have a house full and praying the weather doesn't hurt travel plans for all the kids.

I'll have a house full by Tuesday and I'm praying the snow and ice will hold off while they are doing their 2 day drive.  Rght now it's rain on and off but not freezing cold as it has been.  Merry Christmas everyone and stay safe and warm.

It's snowing again here, and we're expecting snow all week.  Ugh...

But the shopping is nearly done, I just have carpets to clean and floors to mop before I make up the beds...looks like a white Christmas for us...

We went from 51 at 5 am to 46 now,  but by tomorrow the wind chill might be minus 10.  2 inches of rain came down.  I can't believe how cold it is, some places minus 49 to 58 wind chills?

Chicago/NE Illinois area...I don't believe we've had 3" of snow yet.

Outside of COLD around Christmas, we've avoided all of the extremes that the rest of the country has been hit with.

Keeping my fingers crossed.  The 5-10 day forecast is pretty mild and little, if any snow, suggested.

In Ogden, Utah we already have 140% of annual rainfall and it is still snowing!

It's "lifeless" now?  I've seen enough National Geographic to know that Great Salt Lake does have a habitat.

Yes, the reports I see indicate that at it's current rate, the lake will be salt flats by 2030.  Is that what you understand?  And you're OK with that?


I don't see why your entire aesops personality can't get out of your political view of things.

Used to be "conservatives" were conservationists.  I do open water swimming in the summer.  Our favorite swimming holes are managed by our city and park district.  Solid Republicans.

One of my good buddies is a water hydrologist and I try to find news about such things so I have an informed conversation over a beer or two with him.
