Gee, I'm actually starting to feel sorry for the Left.
They just lost ONE of their HUNDREDS of propaganda
platforms, giving the Right an advantage of ONE.

Nor'easter / possible blizzard conditions. But...we're on the western side this time and they said the eastern side will get the big snow...we shall see. Last one was a complete dud and stayed south of us.

Just stay prepped and hope it is a dud...

Mother Nature has been in a real nasty mood this winter.

Freeze heavier and fog thicker this morning.  Still waiting for it to finally wear off completely.  It was 28 degrees outside.

We got home to 31 degrees last night, freezing fog on the windshield and just so glad there hasn't been enough moisture lately to cause the roads to freeze up...a few dicey spots coming up the road to the house, but...

This morning, it was 27 degrees...ugh, I want Spring to hurry fast!

Got the low end of 1-2 inches of snow but extremely cold and windy. Shoveling will be minimal.

Winter Storm Warning in La Salle, Kendall, Grundy and DuPage counties.
February 01, 2022 at 03:03 PM TO February 02, 2022 at 06:00 PM

The governor has deployed 130 National Guard units and IDOT will have more than 1,800 plows out as Winter Storm Landon approaches.

well...except for my neck of the Chicago metro area.  Because the storm is tracking SW to NE...we will probably see less than 1", while my relatives on the south side of Chicago expect to see 8-10".

once again...major snow storm skips Northern Illinois.

now, my relatives on the south side of Chicago and south suburbs got hit a couple times with 4" to 8" of snow...those of us along the IL/WI border have had one of the milder winters winters of memory.  No 8"+ snow storm, No sub-zero temps for 5+ days.  We get to chuckle with my wife's relatives who moved to southern states to avoid winter.

Late winter storm blasts South, Northeast with snow and wind

https://apnews.com/article/storms-philadelphia-new-york-united-states-pennsylvania-e6746e66b811c59abc329eceae0a4303

A late winter storm blasted the northeastern United States on Saturday with high winds and snow that could pile up to a foot high, sending temperatures plummeting and making travel hazardous after first taking aim at the Deep South.

The National Weather Service said 7 to 12 inches (18 to 30 centimeters) could be expected in northern areas of Pennsylvania and New York with winds gusting as high as 45 mph (72 kph). Philadelphia residents, while expecting only a few inches of snow, were warned that blizzard-like conditions were possible at one point, and later a flash freeze was possible with wet surfaces rapidly becoming icy due to plummeting temperatures.

Gale warnings were in effect in coastal New Jersey and Delaware areas, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph (65 kph to 95 kph) possible and forecasters warning of tree damage and resulting power outages as well as rough boating conditions. A wind advisory was in effect for other areas.
