I am more concerned how it came to be illegal in the first place.  Properly done, it takes an amendment to the Constitution, like everyone understood with alcohol.  Improperly done, we have illegitimate laws for people to argue about, and individual states to disregard.

The smear campaign against weed has quite the vast history,  especially in this country.

I do see it as a gateway drug similar to alcohol or prescription drugs!

I do consider it as worse given its ability to permanently alter the human brain!

I see decriminalization as compounding problems we already have!  Now we have more people driving under the influence! 

People who would never drink and drive do eat or smoke and drive!

More and more children are using despite the claims the left has made about prohibiting its use among children!

Also ODs among children are increasing thanks to edibles!

I`m willing to bet that beer is the Gateway drug if there is such a thing. Kids stealing a couple cans of beer from home is common.

Yes, it can start with alcohol but most who drink it even as kids never go on to other drugs or become alcoholics!
