Americans have been struggling to get a loan since the Fed started raising rates!

Half of the loan applications denied since the Fed started hiking rates 2 years ago!

Americans are having a harder time getting approved for loans and other financial products nearly two years after the Federal Reserve began aggressively hiking interest rates,

A new survey published by Bankrate found that 50% of loans or financial product applicants have been denied since the Fed started raising rates in March 2022. 

Credit card applications have been rejected the most frequently, with 14% of Americans reporting that banks denied them a new credit card while another 6% were refused a balance transfer card. Others were denied a credit limit increase on their existing credit card (11%), a personal loan (10%), car loan or car lease (9%), insurance (8%) and a mortgage loan (5%).

Banks are tightening their lending standards in response to higher interest rates.

Colorado Democrats Lay Off Americans and Mull Giving Illegals Government Jobs, Violating Federal Law!

Last week, news broke that the city of Denver was preparing to lay off citizens who work for the city due to financial pressures because of Joe Biden’s illegal alien crisis. Now some state Democrats are urging officials to violate federal law and hire illegals for government jobs even as Americans are dismissed.

After the news that Denver was laying off employees went viral, the city bristled at the term “layoffs” and hastily told reporters that it was not actually eliminating people. Instead, some employees were to have their hours reduced to zero, according to KUSA-TV.

“The reduction in hours of operation and programs will affect the number of hours worked by many on-call, some to the point where they may not receive any hours,” Denver Parks and Recreation Director Jolon Clark said in a statement. “The final decisions on hours for any individual position have not been made yet.”

KUSA-TV reported that “everyone from front desk workers to coaches to lifeguards are all considered ‘on-call employees’ that could be impacted by these cuts,” according to Denver Parks and Rec.

Private sector job growth rises less than expected in February: ADP!

Hiring by private companies came in lower than expected in February, ADP says!

Hiring by U.S. companies continued to chug along at a healthy pace in February, although growth came in below expectations, according to the ADP National Employment Report released Wednesday morning.

Companies added 140,000 jobs last month, missing the 150,000 gain that economists surveyed by Refinitiv predicted but up from the revised 111,000 figure in January.

Wall Street is watching the labor market closely for signs that it is finally slowing down and the Federal Reserve can pivot to cutting interest rates.

The leisure and hospitality sector accounted for the most job gains in February, with the industry onboarding 41,000 new workers. There were also substantial hiring gains in construction (28,000), transportation and utilities (24,000), financial activities (17,000) and other services (14,000).
