My husband and I were able to attend our son's pinning ceremony this morning.  It was wonderful to watch all his hard work pay off as he was officially made Chief.

Now we have to pack them up for transfer, so I will be a sad Gramma.

it funny how they are escalating ranks in the military today... in the old days it would have taken a long time to make Chief...

Congratulations to you and your son, takn.  It's also very bittersweet knowing your grandbaby will not be so accessible.  Maybe though it will open up a new travel chapter in your life and you will see places you never thought you would visit.
