it's too hot

It's too hot? I have 86...it's bearable.

It cooled down a bit today and I'm so glad.  It was first Tuesday in the park and also National Night out and we got our chairs and went to our local park.  I think the whole community turned out.  The firemen and police were barbecuing the hamburgers and hot dogs and everyone took pot luck.  There were all the local craftsmen setting up booths with their wares and our local "Once a Month Band" who are a group of guys that should have a recording contract they are so good.  Everybody's dog went along and Hannah was remarkably good.  She was trembling with excitement every time the horses pulling a covered wagon came by giving kids rides around the park.  All summer, every Tuesday we get together like this and it's a small community so we know a lot of people - especially all the dog walkers in the mornings.  The kids got their faces painted and the police brought their canines and demonstrated their skills for the crowd.  It was such a nice evening and I sat there enjoying everything and thinking that it almost doesn't seem possible that so many other parts of our world are in such misery right now and wishing that everyone could have this experience.

We are having a summer like no other. Tomorrow and Friday back to no humidity and Sunday's high 81...woot woot woot.
