Yes he did ButtHO.  He gave us double digit inflation, unemployment, interest rates, record debt and shipped millions of jobs overseas just like Bush did.  But since he didn't fuck it up as bad as Bush then yes you can say he did better.

How can you compare what did happen to something that hasn't happened, and then make conclusions based on that?

wow, what an idiot!  when reagan took over we were the largest creditor nation in the world, trade wise...when he left, we were the world's largest debtor nation....when reagan took over, the national debt was 900 billion dollars, when he left it had tripled  TRIPLED to 2.7 TRILLION....when reagan took over, during carter's 4 year term, 10 million jobs had been created....when reagan took over we were at peace around the world.  carter during his term, only added about 300 million dollars to the national debt.  reagan, of course, added 1.8 trillion dollars.....

If the underlying assumptions are NOT correct, then the article is a POS.
 
And when you throw in that his assumptions on Obama's policies ahve not even occured yet, it makes the whole thing that much easier to dismiss.

The Reagan recovery started in official records in November 1982, and lasted 92 months without a recession.  This set a new record for the longest peacetime expansion ever, the previous high in peacetime being 58 months.
 
The economy grew by almost one-third, the equivalent of adding the entire economy of West Germany, the third-largest in the world at the time, to the U.S. economy.
 
The shocking rise in inflation during the Nixon and Carter years was reversed.  Astoundingly, inflation from 1980 was reduced by more than half by 1982, to 6.2%.  It was cut in half again for 1983, to 3.2%, never to be heard from again until recently.
 
The poverty rate declined every year from 1984 to 1989, dropping by one-sixth from its peak.  The stock market more than tripled in value from 1980 to 1990, a larger increase than in any previous decade.
