Title: First weekend with sun and no rain Post by: emilyB on 05 22, 22, 07:23:42:PM Finally got out in the garden and it was good to pull weeds and start pruning but it is overwhelming the work that needs to be done out there. My son is eager to help but he needs some training whe it comes to plants and weeds. I have to be careful not to chop my finger off with the clippers. A whole new experience now!

I spent yesterday working one short trail...it's no more than 150 long, but took me the entire weekend and I'm still not done clearing blackberries. I did manage to start uncovering one of the old stumps there though. It's one our older grandson found and was so excited to "discover". They are coming next month and I want to have that entire area ready for him. I have so many ideas swimming in my head I can't stand it. Just making the time is the biggest challenge, since the majority of it has to be done by hand to preserve wetlands and delicate natives.
