Title: Oldest Lady Post by: Ladyelaine on 04 27, 22, 01:14:16:PM Kane Tanaka has died in Japan having attained the certified records age of 119 years. Official cause of death is listed as "old age". I guess that means her body finally wore out. I had a great uncle who lived to 114 but none of my relatives have since lived any where near that long. The way world events are unfolding and the rapid rate at which my body is wearing out in spite of great efforts to maintain it, I'm not sure I would want to live that long. I've known several who reached over 100 years but were happy when their time came to leave for peaceful rest.

The realization that everyone is watching to see when they die... My family lineage is all over the place when it comes to longevity. Some lived into their 90's...I have one uncle still alive who is about 95 now...others were taken much younger by illness or disease. I can only hope for a long and productive life, but at nearly 60, and still having to work full time in a very labor intensive industry, I have to watch out for every ache and pain and keep telling myself, don't screw it up...at least I gave up my vices long ago and have had better health because of it.
