Bride-to-Be Goes Viral After Sharing Rules for Her Upcoming Wedding: 'Don't Bring Random People'

https://people.com/human-interest/bride-to-be-goes-viral-after-sharing-rules-for-her-upcoming-wedding-dont-bring-random-people/

"If you're pregnant, keep it to yourself. If you want to propose, keep that to yourself,"

A bride-to-be is setting a few rules and regulations for her wedding guests before they say "I do" to attending her big day.

I didn't find anything unreasonable.   Comments?

any good wedding stories?

Wow...weddings sure have changed since my days...

We would never be so bold as to publicly chastise people.

The comment about  being pregnant and engaged...I get that. It's the brides big day, don't interfere and take the spotlight from her. But as for me, I would never say that.

Yes, you would hope people would have the dignity to not ruin her and her fiance's day with their own surprises...but these days, with so much done solely for the TikToks and Instagrams, people act very differently.

I fell in love at 16 and married at 20.  My wedding was something like that shown in the movie "The Deer Hunter".  As well as the few invited guests, the whole small village where I lived turned out.  The church I was married in was from the 1300's and the cemetery was vast.  People perched on the grave stones to take photographs and after the ceremony everyone headed for the Village Hall (next to the local pub) to continue the celebrations.  That was how life was in a small village - everyone turned out to celebrate a local event.

Our wedding only had one snag...then VP George H.W. Bush was in town campaigning.  He appeared in a local festival and had a fund-raiser at the same banquet hall we had our reception, and was overstaying his appearance.  I had warned the Secret Service earlier in the day that he had better be out before my family of south side Chicago Democrats showed up.

Only todays untrained unruly youth would try to turn someone else's big day into their own. The Me me me generation have no bounds.
