Title: Today
Post by: stretch351c on 09 04, 21, 06:46:06:PM
We laid my 84 yr old father to rest. There is no emotion that hits you like being handed a folded flag, then hearing the 21 gun salute, and then Taps.

I am very sorry for your loss Stretch.  Yes, Taps gets me every time.  We laid my "other dad" (my best friend's dad who was definitely better to me than my own), to rest in June, he was a highway patrolman and member of the National Guard, and having the honor guard at his memorial was incredible.
