Post by: emilyB on 07 21, 21, 02:25:17:PM In some parts of Oregon the people are experiencing a summer like never before with fires burning thousands of acres. Thankfully it's not near me as it was last September - there's not much left to burn here although a lot of people have started re-building their homes. The ice storm earlier this year killed and blackened so much of my garden but finally the hydrangeas, azaleas etc. are growing back as I try to cut off all the blackened parts. It's amazing what some deep rooted plants can survive.
