Title: My cutting has started in earnest...
Post by: takncarabizniz on 05 14, 21, 02:21:57:PM
My husband keeps saying I'm crazy...well, I'm not, my mother had me tested, LOL

But I started working on the east side of the property again and we have discovered red and black elderberry shrubs, so I am motivated to uncover the rest...yesterday I found that a cedar tree I'm trying to free from blackberry bondage is also hiding a spruce tree!  I can just barely see the new growth right now...

This is serious...I will prevail!

I only managed another 10 feet or so...what a mess.  My native plant group believes the spruce may be salvageable, but looking at this mess, I am not sure.

You should be able to trip off the lower dead stuff. I think it has life left in it.

There's nothing like working outside on projects in the garden.  Hope your spruce will spring back to life.
