Hoosier, before the 20th week of pregnancy...that says a lot.  Women carry for for 40 weeks typically.  The medical dictionary has the clinical definition, but I'm not sure what you're trying to explain...

Sorry hoosier, but your explanation doesn't fly.  Spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) is not a choice, done under clinical circumstances in which the decision is made to use medical tools to cause the abortion.  It is true that after a miscarriage, medical intervention is necessary, but I think you are grasping at straws on this one.
