All of our pets have been shelter throwaways or abandoned animals we found...
 
I just saw this pic yesterday of a local shelter puppy and I want this little lady sooooooo bad...but Papa says nooooo, Ozzie doesn't take kindly to strangers in his confines and we've come such a long way w/ him that it would be unfair to him at this point...

That's so sad - maybe there is someone out there who can't resist him.  I have the same problem with Hannah and as she is so spoiled I don't know quite how she would take to another pet invading her territory.  The last home she had - she nipped at a smaller dog.   She's going to the vets for her shots next week and I think she is about 75 pounds now - that's a lot of dog to feed and walk!
