This movie scared the shit out of America and a lot of the world - not long afterwards the disarmament movement and the anti-war movements began.

I don't remember "On the Beach" and obviously haven't seen it, but maybe it's on Netflix.  They have so many old movies on there and we stream them in for $7.99 a month - unlimited.   They have all the British shows that have been series on Brit TV too - there is just not enough time to see them all. 
 
This one looks interesting.
