It looks great.  I printed out your recipe and have yet to make it.  Have been so busy!  Drove to the coast today for a Brit club luncheon and it was so frosty going through the corridor but luckily the rain held off until we started home late afternoon.  We spun out on black ice once on that highway and it's something I'll never forget, so I get nervous when it gets below freezing level.

ACTUALLY I LIKE THEM, I CALL THEM FARM FOODS, WHETHER FROM A HILLBILLY FARM OR ONE IN ITALY, THE SIMPLE BASIC FOOD RECIPE  IS THE BEST, ALL THE FANCY FOODS ARE GARBAGE. JUST ASK EMILY NOTHING BETTER THAN FISH AND CHIPS AN ENGLISH BASIC FOOD, EXCEPT I DO HATE FISH.

Looks good, biz, but I'm not a real big fan of potatoes in soup. However, the bacon makes up for that!

I love corn chowder but too fattening  to eat.  I prefer a good home made  turkey soup with brown rice.

I haven't made turkey and rice in forever...I also love to use barley in my chicken and turkey soups...any way you make it, hot soup on a cold day warms you all over...
