At first I was scared seriously... then I read the article and was relieved... whew...
 
because that had to be impossible... but with God... all things are....
 
So that happened in Seattle... a place on my list to see before I die... always wanted to see all the trees there and I'd have to go threw Colorado to get there... soon...really soon...and just don't let the gasoline prices go down a bit... cause I'm there...

Luv, Washington state is beautiful.  The rainforests of the Olympic Peninsula, the beaches along the San Juan Islands, the Cedar forests and mountains...
 
But timing is everything, too early in the season, nothing but rain, too late nothing but rain, and in between, a whole lot more people doing the same exact thing, so crowds everywhere...
 
The drive from Ohio would be long, but you could stop and see a lot of other great sites...you could actually head straight west from there and head through Iowa and Illinois, then make your way past South Dakota (you should stop and see Rushmore), and then the drive through Montana and Idaho is spectacular...but yeah, gas prices would have to come way down to make a trip all the way across the US like that...
 
That's why we've been sticking close to home even camping...pulling the trailer w/ that huge truck that gets about 12 miles to the gallon prevents a nice long trailering vacation.

We are getting about 7 miles to the gallon out of our motorhome and going through the Cascades it acted like it was crawling.  YIKES!   That is why we are going close to home too - presently we are about 170 miles from home.
