I really miss my son...

It's only 5 days from his 22nd birthday and once again, we won't be together to celebrate...
 
No idea at this point, where in the world he is at and we were counting the days since his last departure...it may be mid-September before they surface again...
 
Just a mother's Monday I guess...thinking back about how tiny he once was and how much he has changed...
I sent an email to the address we were provided, but we hear back rarely...not that he doesn't want to email, but his schedule is 24/7, as the senior chemist onboard, and he warned us in his first email out that he spent what little time off he had just trying to sleep.  He usually loses about 20lbs during patrol and that is not good for him...so I keep my worry hat handy and try to think good thoughts for him...but I sure do miss him...

had one bright moment tonight...the photographer posted Thing 2's senior photos for us to look at...she did a wonderful job.  Can't believe my baby graduates this coming year...

Just went on my laptop as we are now at the beach and I've got wireless!  It must be so hard takn and I know that feeling when it hits although it's been a lot longer for us since the kids left home and carved their own paths.   Just remember you have a lot to be proud of and try not to worry (famous last words!)

I'm not putting him down I'm boosting him up, any red blooded american sailor would want to be with a woman, unless the military has changed since I was in. By the way they have women in subs now. All faiths.

Actually, they have a limited number of women on subs (currently, I believe less than 6 total), all officers.  He has a girlfriend topside, but your commentary is done solely to incite argument and your ugliness toward people abounds...
