I am missing my brother and his wife - visiting us from the UK.  We had a lovely time catching up and I hope it won't be another 5 years before we see each other.  The gaps get longer as we get older.  Sad!

I hear that...
 
It seems that our lives just become so busy and even when distance isn't as much of an obstacle, something always seems to come up. 
 
I have a brother who lives just about 60 miles from me, but we rarely see each more than a couple times a year as he is on the road w/ his band and work seems to take up all our time.  My family is spread far and wide, so even planning a family reunion has met w/ continued failures and cancellations...

Brothers.......I lost  one to lung cancer on May 14 a couple weeks ago and now the one that had bone cancer  has another fast growing tumor on his brain...only has days to live. He was put on hospice this week and the Priest came out to see him yesterday. He lost his sight and can't talk now either. Not sure what he knows now, he can squeeze your hand when asked to so we know he can still hear. :-(

I'm so very sorry for your loss sunshine...and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your brother and his family as he continues such a heartwrenching journey...

Sunshine - I am so sorry to hear about brothers, how very hard for you.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  Damn cancer!  My close friend has battled lung cancer until she can take no more chemo and she has been given a few weeks.  I keep hoping that a cure is just around the corner.   Stay strong!

My other brother passed away Sunday night. At least now he will be free of pain.
