This is almost an exact replica of the one my brother found in a dumpster, took to school and refinished and reupholstered, used in a Shakesparean play then toted home and presented to my mother, who cherished it till the seat fell through the bottom...it was still in the house when they tore it down...

Takn - I have two of those wing chairs and a matching sofa in a plain olive fabric with cushions in the same fabric as the wing chairs.  The best part of this is that it was all made in the USA - actually in Tualatin, Oregon by a company called Stanton International.  The furniture store we purchased the set from in Salem (called "Heartland") has since gone out of business due to the economy - it was a really nice little family run business.   You can see part of the sofa in this pic and also another pic where you can see the other chair.   The price of the set was also very reasonable.

Kewl...seeing things like that just brings back memories...but now I'm curious about the furniture company as well...It's great to find local sources for goods like that...

Takn - I just found out after googling Stanton furniture that it had to go out of business due to our wonderful economic decline!!  I am so sad about that but I am sure there are many Stanton pieces of furniture out there for sale.

Mitchell did say that another company may buy Stanton and reopen the facility under a different name, but did not say how likely that is. Stanton International however is gone for good.
“Everything is for sale, it’s not going to restart,” he said.
 
Maybe there is still hope...
We've never been to Tualatin...love Oregon though so may have to explore...
