Two years ago my hubby bought three old life preservers from shrimp boat that ws being sold.  he cleaned and painted one for my daughter with her boat name and one for our friends,  they hung theirs on their screened porches.  I wanted mine to have our house name  and address on it for outside.  Our old sign was torn up during a storm.  YES, we name our houses, had one named kircheside, because we lived next to a church..  anyway he got mine out yesterday and started cleaning and lettering.  YEA!

We always named our houses in the UK but I haven't done it here - I think it's great to do that!  The house we had in Essex, England we named "Atlanta" after the Hotel we stayed at on our honeymoon in Amsterdam.   Most popular house name over there............."Dunrovin"!!  Corny too.
 
You will have to send a pic Grio............on second thoughts maybe not..........you don't want to get your life preserver stolen!

can't post a picture as the house name has our name in it, and address.  Might get a picture of daughters, as hers is just boat name.
