Cold windy day in the South

Again...make it stop. Just glad I moved South and not dealing with all that snow this year.

Groundhog Day 2026 took place in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania,
at Gobbler's Knob on February 2nd,
where the famous groundhog,

Punxsutawney Phil,
predicted six more weeks of winter,
attracting thousands to the traditional event.

The annual festivities, centered around Phil's forecast,

involve large crowds gathering at dawn to witness the prediction,

which stems from old folklore.

Mother Nature has been very bi-polar lately!

I have trees and flowers blooming in February, but I know we're going to get at least one heavy, wet snow that ruin everything...

We've only had one good snowstorm this season and we were gone for most of it, over the Christmas holidays.

My daffodils are barely out of the ground but at my old place up north they are blooming even with all that snow they had. Weird. I do think we may have turned the corner on the cold though. Next 10 day s looking great.

I remember too, the days you posted those first blooms crocus! I believe it was you.

From way back I recall 3 plants that were posted.
