When I fry burgers, I use a dab of butter and a sprinkle of salt, pepper, and thyme or rosemary-infused butter!

I like them on the grill with a pat of very cold butter in between layers...like a stuffed burger only flatter,
LOL.  I season with garlic, salt, and pepper.  Infused or compound butter is fabulous.
