I hate these blinds!

cleaning the plantation blinds, and I hate this!  I hate curtains and drapes more, so guess i just have to do it and stop complaing!

Hey, I'm with you... hate cleaning any kind of blinds... when out and purchase blind spray, blind tools,... etc...

Best way is to take blinds down if you can, fill tub up with soapy water and soak dirt/dust off then take shower spray and spray clean...Hey!  58 windows all blinds except kitchen....

My friend's husband at the coast started a blind cleaning business.  He purchased one of those machines which was quite costly but he soon recouped his money.  I know there are a few companies who have these.  They come to your house and take your blinds down, repair any strings or slats, etc. and then put them in the cleaning machine and they will have them back and up in a day.  It's pricey but very worth it when you think of all the effort you have to put into cleaning them and they really sparkle - I had a couple of big picture windows done.  Now I've moved I haven't found anyone in our little town who does this.

NO ONE AROUND HERE HAS A BLIND CLEANING EITHER.  oh well , only did the three in computer room, today .  It is now washed top to bottom, even repainted the bay window wall, as dogs lay on the window seat and the labs big feet scratch it up.

Blinds are the worst...yes, I bathtub wash mine once a year too...
 
Grio, my mother taught me to make a simple solution of dishsoap, fabric softener and warm water...she used to say the softener would help release the grime...but I just fill the tub, add a capful of each and let them soak...
