I watched 2 smokestacks get blown up this morning in Cheswick Pa. and when I got home we still had electricity.

Allegheny County officials said a power outage was reported in a limited area and that power companies are on scene.

that plant hasn't been making power for awhile now zippy.   wasn't this power outage just because the demolition work had evidently taken down some power lines?   it didn't have anything to do with a lack of power did it zippy?

They blew the plant up this morning Einstein.
We get storms around here and indeed, power lines fall. They pay people to put them back up again.
A local power plant that burned coal is no longer needed and has been offline since the spring of 2022.

What`s the problem?

that's not what the people who lived near Chernobyl or near the Fukushima Daiichi power plants would tell you wavy.   Both these plants have polluted huuuuuge areas of land and cost billions of dollars in clean ups.
