Thinking that we'll get an extra hour of sleep in was pure folly...

Rowan dog still woke me up at the regular hour...his bladder wins over my beauty sleep, LOL

I still get up early no matter what the clock says.

Hannah used to wake us up around 7.30 am or even later - she had a cast iron bladder.   I still wake up sometimes thinking I have to let her out.  Missing her doesn't get any easier and I don't have much desire to lay in bed longer.

It does take a while.  I still see Ozzie in the dark sometimes, still hear him, and feel him scratching at the blanket to get picked up to snuggle in bed before potty time.  We knew he was getting older when he stopped jumping up on the bed by himself, because for a tiny 7 lb dog, he could jump straight up about 4 foot in the air, LOL...

Rowan likes to believe he's little...he weighs a ton in comparison, but he also has slept with my son and daughter-in-law since he was a puppy, so convincing him he needs to sleep in his own bed has been a chore, but we're working on it.
