I actually think he went a little wheels of the track in his impassioned moment.  Religion and government have never been compatible bedfellows, but I think the direction our nation is headed is truly far more dangerous, if we do allow the dismissal of faith and morals from leadership and decisions.  Congress acts like a Godless nation is a good thing, and that what's happening in our nation in regard to all these protests, and the circumstances surrounding control of our lives due to covid, is what must happen, rather than espousing personal responsibility, accountability, and doing the right thing.  Violence and destruction to your own neighborhoods does nothing to help the situation, but weak leadership continues to coddle that mindset.

Sine...I don't believe the federal government is to blame for the Koresh tragedy.  Actions have consequences, and we all know David Koresh was a bad actor whose cult was imploding.  The feds may have overreached in some points but in the end, I believe Koresh is ultimately responsible for those deaths.
