Hospital and state health officials this week said health care capacity remains healthy but they’re watching the rising numbers given Alaska’s limited hospital resources.

Yep.  We're at 1% capacity.

Alaska’s daily COVID-19 count hits another near-record

Most of the new cases in the past few weeks are in people in their 20s, 30s and 40s — in that order, according to state epidemiologist Dr. Joe McLaughlin. People at the highest risk for hospitalizations and death, however, are older with underlying medical conditions.

Other states with spikes in cases among younger people have experienced a subsequent uptick in cases involving older residents more likely to be hospitalized.

That’s why they continue to urge Alaskans to wear face coverings in public places where social distancing isn’t possible, limit their exposure to people outside their households, and practice good hygiene and hand-washing protocols.

The state’s high daily counts continued Thursday, when the state reported 46 Alaskans and three nonresidents newly testing positive.

It wasn’t clear how many of the new cases involved people showing symptoms.

Generally, 60% to 70% of Alaska’s more recent positive tests involved people with symptoms, according to state epidemiologist Louisa Castrodale. Early in the pandemic in March, nearly all of them were symptomatic because tests were only being performed on people with specific symptoms.

So?  Nobody is getting sick.  How many are getting sick in Crystal Lake?

There is no evidence that reduces the risk of getting infected.  It's just a test for liberals to see how far they can go to control the population.

The way they are counting Wuhan cases now is shocking.  If someone complains of 2 of the symptoms, they are automatically added to the case count whether or not they actually test positive for the Wuhan virus.  AND they count everyone who came in contact with that person as a Wuhan case whether or not they test positive or even have synptoms.

The numbers are totally manipulated.  They can't be trusted or believed.

Alaska’s confirmed coronavirus infections hit new daily high of 77

https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/2020/07/11/alaskas-confirmed-coronavirus-infections-hit-new-daily-high-of-77-as-hospitalizations-also-rise/

Published 5 hours ago

Alaska reported 77 new confirmed coronavirus infections around the state Saturday — the highest daily case count since the pandemic began.

As reported by the state on Saturday, five more residents also became ill enough with the virus to need hospitalization. A total of 85 Alaskans have been hospitalized since March.

Alaska’s number of cases has risen rapidly over the past month, but the state’s per capita hospitalization rate remains far lower than most other states and just 10% of those in harder-hit states like California and Texas, according to The Covid Tracking Project. Alaska’s death rate is 2.3% per 100,000, lowest of any state except Hawaii. Alaska is also testing more people than many states.
