These edicts restricting peaceable assemblies are clearly unconstitutional.  I just want the dictators to admit that is what they are doing and that they still respect the Constitution despite their blatant violations.  If they did that I could respect them.

Unless we stand for the Constitution, nothing could stop a tyrannical government from violating your rights anytime they pleased under the guise of the public interest.

If they have a legitimate reason to violate your rights, fine.  I just want them to concede you do have rights and they are intentionally violating them.

So you don't agree that ordering people not to peaceably assemble is a violation of the constitutional right to peaceably assemble?

Is it lawful to yell "fire" in a movie theater if it is actually in fire?  Of course it is.

People peaceably assembling is not a crime.  It is a protected right.

If you agree with these violations of our rights, that's fine.  Just admit that's what you're doing.  Otherwise you're just ignoring the Constitution, and the Constitution thus is meaningless.
