Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

Takn: Sad to see this stuff spreading.
My daughter lives and works in Kirkland.  A couple of blocks from that nursing home where there have now been five deaths.  She some times walks her dog by there.  Says with all the inclement weather they have had this year she has seen any of the old people that live there.
She just got over a very bad case of the flu, was home for over a week.  Went back to work today.  Makes me wonder if she didn't have cornaviras.  She thinks not, the doctor said flu and gave her meds for that.  I doubt she was tested for coronaviras.  She gets a flu shot every year the job  pays for them.
She isn't worried says she will keep washing her hands and keeping them away from her face.
She also commented that the deaths have all been elderly or health impaired people.
Being 80 I don't want to test that theory.  I'd suggest that anyone with recent demo or radiation be extra careful.
Her Mom is worried sick.

The whole area is in full on panic mode.
The reported deaths were all people with compromised respiratory systems.  That seems to be the kicker for this particular virus.
They are also saying they don't know anyone who traveled outside the country, or had contact with anyone who did, but given the virus floated around for a long time without anyone knowing it, you could have contact with the Uber driver who regularly picks up at the airport, or went to a medical clinic where the sitting areas are teeming with sick people, who knows who had what?

There isn't a mask (which the CDC says is ineffective anyway), hand sanitizer, or wipes within 50 miles of Kirkland.  It's almost ridiculous to the point that memes of the hysteria are more popular than listening to the media hype.

We don't have any cases near us in VA, but I went shopping yesterday... no sanitizer in sight, not even travel size. Liquid soap isles was nearing empty. TP isle was half empty. I have been buying tp and  essential items just incase but did not go nuts like I saw some in the store.  I picked up a 3 pack of wipes  and was deciding, should I get it. This woman was next to me ready to snatch it out of my hands. I told her to bend down, there are single size  cans way back on the bottom shelf.  Carts were full and it was like Christmas with all the shoppers. Normally the store is pretty quiet at the at time, but was rocking this time.  If it does hit here....I'm just staying home.

My daughter isn't worried.  She even pointed out that buying anti bacterial soap or anti bacterial anything, is a waste of time.  It may kill viruses but it is the soap part that is doing the killing.
Masks just cause you to touch your face and hair more.
It is her day off so she was out and about today.  Washing her hands often, and not shaking hands.
Her mother is still in panic mode though, so my life is altered some.

This area is in all out panic mode...

The run on water, toilet paper, and wine at the stores, is twice as bad as storm preparation.

Only thing I've noticed here is it is easier to get a seat and service in my favorite sushi restaurant and at the local Casino.
I did find my self washing my hands more and longer and attempting to keep them away from my face.

So many warnings and articles now - one I read was "Don't Kiss your Dog" - how hard that was!  (JK - but it was her 12th birthday!)

The area remains in full panic mode.  I believe there are now 16 total deaths, most of which came from one nursing home.

I haven't seen much change in public spaces...people are still shopping, dining out, going to events.  Some large indoor events have been canceled or postponed, even our annual conservation district plant sale has changed how we will do pick ups.  Some large industries are having people work remotely...for us, it's pretty hard to work in manufacturing from home, though many of the engineers are.
