Mother Who Contacted Police about Violent Son Files Red Flag Gun Confiscation Order against Policeman Who Shot Him

Susan Holmes of Fort, Collins, Colorado called the police on her mentally ill, 19-year-old son, Jeremy, in 2017 after he left their home wielding an 11.25-inch bayonet knife and threatening to kill Susan’s other son (Jeremy’s brother).
Jeremy was ultimately shot and killed as he charged police with the knife, and now, Susan Holmes has filed an Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) – also known as Red Flag Gun Confiscation – against one of the responding officers, Philip Morris.
