Neighbors shot and killed one of them, and the owner of the dogs has been arrested. 

what is this forum's opinion on Pit Bulls?

do you blame the dog?  or the do you blame the owner?

I have known pit bulls that behaved as playful puppies throughout their lives never harming anyone!

I blame the owner...

Unfortunately, the breed is nearly ruined.  Our in-laws pittie thought she was a really hairy little princess, a 90 lb lap dog, and a canine pillow...but we never allowed her to be alone with the kids, my mother-in-law said she just didn't know that she could ever fully be trusted because she came from a bad situation and would sometimes pace and act nervous when the kids were screeching.  She was undocked and uncropped, and had the most beautiful fawn and buckskin coat. 

More and more municipalities are banning the breed altogether, which is a shame because they are extremely loyal.

Took one in as a foster, then it fought the other dogs we had, so we had to send it back...

In this situation, owner is the one MOST responsible, since they were warned fence was weak.

Secondly owner responsible for having such aggressive dogs.  Why were they THAT vicious?
