Mother Nature beat the peonies down to the ground last week, so I decided to make a bouquet.

Such  beautiful flowers and I wish they lasted longer.  We hit 100 degrees yesterday and a lot of plants started to wither.  The high heat is continuing for a few days.   Not the Oregon weather we were used to.  The City here just raised the water bill too.  That figures!

It's going to be a long, hot summer.  We are trying to keep the lawns watered for our reunion, but I know last year, when did a lot of watering, our bill was sky high.  They seem to get us coming or going anymore, don't they?

One thing that surprised me this week was our Natural Gas Bill from N.W. Natural, it was $11.00 for the month.  I cook by gas and we use tons of hot water for washing, showering etc.  I thought about calling them and asking if they had made a mistake and then thought better of it lol.
