Sen. Lindsey Graham (D-S.C.) on Sunday criticized the Trump administration pushing through arms sales to Saudi Arabia, citing the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

“I’ve got a real problem with going back to doing business as usual with Saudi Arabia," Graham said on "Fox News Sunday.

“Jordan’s a great ally, the UAE has been problematic in Yemen but are a good ally. Saudi Arabia is a strategic ally, but the crown prince was, in my opinion, involved in the murder of Mr. Khashoggi and he’s done a lot of other disruptive things, so I don’t support the arms sales now.”

Khashoggi was killed after entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on Oct. 3, 2018.

U.S. and international intelligence agencies have concluded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman authorized the operation.

The Trump administration on Friday invoked an emergency provision of the law governing arms sales to immediately sell Saudi Arabia and other Gulf allies weapons without congressional approval.

Saudi Arabia is engaged in a war in Yemen that Congress has directed our country not support.   Trump is in direct violation of this resolution.

What's this got to do with Israel?

Congress has officially passed a resolution to end US support for the war in Yemen, a strong rebuke of President Donald Trump’s foreign policy toward Saudi Arabia.

I agree.  We shouldn't even be communicating with Saudi Arabia.

When was the U S supporting a war with Yemen ?

We have sold arms to SA for decades, even under Dim Presidents!

Just like the US sells arms to Israel to make war on the Palestinians !

When was the US supporting the Saudi war in Yemen?

The US helps the Saudi-led coalition, which also includes the United Arab Emirates and several other Gulf Arab and African countries, by providing them with intelligence, selling them arms and ammunition, and, until late last year, fueling warplanes.

The Yemen resolution invokes the War Powers Resolution of 1973 (WPR), which gives Congress the power to direct a president to remove troops involved in “hostilities” abroad if there has been no formal “declaration of war or specific statutory authorization” from Congress.

You said the US was supporting SA war with Yemen nutwit.  It is common knowledge that we sell arms to our allies have been for decades like Israel and never condemn them for their atrocities !

Generally, there is no legal difference between a joint resolution and a bill. Both must be passed, in exactly the same form, by both chambers of Congress, and signed by the President (or, re-passed in override of a presidential veto; or, remain unsigned for ten days while Congress is in session) to become a law.

Did both house pass this resolution in exactly the same form and did Trump sign it into law nutwit ?
