Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

We've had 3 severe lightning storms in 3 days. The first one we lost the AC, 2 tvs, whole house humidifier, gfi outlets and who knows what else. I have an electrician coming on Wed and AC repair same day. The first one could have killed me...I went to the window with my camera to video the hail incase I had more house damage and BAM!! Right in front of me. Looked like it hit below the window on the patio.  I screamed "scary movie loud".  OMG that frightening.  I had a neighbor who said she watching the storm too and saw the bolt go right toward my house.  And then last night at 1 am...I must still be in shock because I jumped out of the bed so fast I hurt my shoulder and was petrified to even go down to the basement so I lay on the floor by the bed hiding from the lightning. UNCLE!!! My nerves are shot. But...it's over. Things are fixable.

Wow, the weather has been really bad in a lot of places.
I hope you didn't suffer a lot of damage.  And I hope your shoulder will be okay quickly.

Like I said about Japanese beetles, another good reason to live on the WestCoast.  We have some strange weather this year for sure, but it usually isn't life threatening.

I don't like the  risk of earthquakes. :-) I'd rather deal with bugs.

Washington state is not bad weather wise, earthquakes, tornadoes, even tsunamis are all talked about, but a rarity.  For the most part, we've seen the politicians like to throw them out there in an effort to garner more money that they then fail to spend properly to retrofit, modernize, or add the appropriate monitoring equipment for, LOL.

The Nisqually quake of 2001 was our last big shaker.

We've only had one earthquake the I know of...since I moved here in 1977. Most damage I had was in the photo and a couple stones came off hosuse and small crack in garage foundation.

Wow sun, that was scary and lucky that you didn't get hurt more.  Hope you don't have any more scares like that and everything gets fixed.  We were in 2 bad earthquakes in southern California, the Sylmar and the Northridge quakes.  We lived 13 miles from the epicenter of the Sylmar quake.  We huddled together in a doorway while our roof split open and things came crashing down off the walls and cabinets flew open and unloaded their contents.   We lost so much and had to get an SBA loan to recover.  We had only been here a few years so you can guess what I wanted to do.

I was born in Oklahoma, still have lots of family there.  It always amazed me how much they worried about earthquakes.  They have more people killed by lightning every few years than were killed in the Sylmar or the Loma Pietra earthquakes.  Maybe the Sylmar and the Loma Pietra.  Last one I felt was the Loma Pietra, I was 90 miles away and it was a very slow rolling motion.  I got home and lots of water had washed out of my pool.
Haven't felt one since I moved to Hemet, but donna has felt two.  Never have thought of them as weather.

PS Oklahoma now has earthquakes, probably do to fracking for oil and gas.

Warmer in Washington again today than down here.  We're supposed to be warming up this week.  Still very strange when places like Big Bear and Wrightwood get snow in late May..

Well I guess the average number of people killed by lightening a year is 49, but that is total for USA.  I don't thing many are on the West Coast though.

Another storm today but missed us by a hair...nasty clouds went over the house but got nothing out of it.  Just down the road, several trees fallen over roads.

Almost got hit around 7 pm....less than 7 miles from here. We were told to hit the basement. Of course my TV's are fried from previous lightning down there so I could not even watch if it was coming.
