The greatest president since Abraham Lincoln

Actor Jon Voight took to Twitter on May 24 to express his support for President Donald Trump, calling him the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”

Speaking directly to Republicans, the Academy Award-winning actor began by saying “I know that you’ll agree with me when I say that our president has our utmost respect and our love.”

“This job is not easy for he’s battling the left and their absurd words of destruction. … Our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln,” Voight said.

I always considered Teddy Roosevelt or FDR the greatest presidents after Lincoln, with Reagan right there in the mix, and Bill Clinton bringing up the rear.  They all brought unique capabilities and insight into their approach to leadership and worked hard to help the nation.

I am not sure what the Don has done that is so magnanimous, but I do know he's willing to try to right the ship and willing to make the tough decisions that will be required to do so.  It's not easy, and not everyone gets to win, or even get a participation award, but it seems like we're still in pull yourself up by your bootstraps mode.

Isn't it interesting that Proud K³urtis, Deceiving Don, and The Base love to invoke the name of Lincoln every chance they get?  What makes that interesting is that everyone of them want to destroy everything that Lincoln stood for and was willing to go to war against.
