AOC reminds Trump in tweet about tax return request: 'We didn't ask you'

In a tweet Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., suggested that House Democrats won't be taking no for an answer in seeking access to President Trump's tax returns.

The freshman congresswoman boiled her view of the situation down to the following mock conversation between Congress and the president:

"Congress: 'We’re going to need a copy of the President’s tax returns from 2013-2018.'

"45: 'No, I’m ‘under audit.'

"Congress: 'We didn’t ask you.' "

you go girl!  the entire radical radical right wing is frightened of you.

“This is the latest effort from House Democrats in their misguided rush to impeach President Trump that began the day after the 2016 election,” Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas), the ranking member of the House Ways and Means Committee, said in a statement.

“This particular request is an abuse of the tax-writing committees’ statutory authority and violates the intent and safeguards of … the Internal Revenue Code,” Brady added. “Weaponizing our nation’s tax code by targeting political foes sets a dangerous precedent and weakens Americans’ privacy rights.”

“I’m under a routine audit and it'll be released, and as soon as the audit is finished it will be released."

Trump has reneged on a pledge to release his tax returns after an IRS audit, confirming what many have long suspected: that the real obstacle to disclosure is Trump himself.

Which part of the following is it you left wing socialist don't understand?

Currently, the criteria for a presidential candidate, per the Constitution, is that the candidate must be a natural-born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older. That’s it. Congress can’t add to the constitutional criteria through federal legislation.
If Congress wanted to change the threshold criteria for presidential candidates, it would likely take a constitutional amendment to Article II, which would in turn require ratification by at least three-fourths (currently 38) states. Congress does not have unilateral authority to add to Article II and impose this kind of mandated criteria on presidential candidates.

And that also includes left wing socialist judges.

The house democrats can go finger themselves or each other.

I'm just going by what trump says blammie.   He said he would release his tax returns, now he says he won't.    It's like you can't trust what he says isn't it?

A statute passed by Congress in 1924, following the Teapot Dome scandal, gives the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee the power to obtain tax returns directly from the IRS.

Suck on it, trumpies!

Most Americans view this as presidential harassment.   So, it's all good by me.  Knock yourselves out.
