And more rain tonight! We have never had this much rain...since Sept 1, my yard has never dried out.

Now just imagine.... the soft soil there... what I spoke about before...

if the roots of a tree that was planted not deep enough... you will see trees fall there from the roots easy... and that can explain why I saw so many houses with whole trees on top of roofs...city will not come and clean it up... only if it blocks the streets...

California has it's mud slides... but the roads are dangerous now in TN and the rain softens the ground and create large pits....

My kin folks there in Cleveland says it hasn't lit up for awhile... and the Mississippi river in parts of Memphis is flooded out...

I get the news report from Memphis on the cellphone... and boy oh boy...what have I gotten myself in...

Do you have tornado warnings now? Just saw on tv half the state is. Be safe.

still in Ohio... going I think next week...hope it stops raining then....will not leave there until I get the house on the market...

My daughter has had nothing but rain in southern California where they are just renovating the house they bought and she said they are living in a lake.  I'm so glad they moved down from the hillside home though.

when it rains there it pours...but I will say...it's the best heat in the country...hardly humid and the mountains protect for the wind... I understand by folks want to move there... but it was so boring to me at that time...

The weather is gorgeous there. I moved there in 73 but did not stay long.I was near Oceanside.

We went through 2 major earthquakes there and that is always a consideration.  It is a very expensive State to live in and sales tax and other taxes are quite high.  The best weather is on the coast where the heat is not as uncomfortable, but the valleys and inland can get really hot in the summer months so air conditioning is a must.
