I'm currently in Louisiana and the place is crawling with proud Cajuns who are not the kind of folks that can be pushed around.

If someone "decided" to try to take away Cajun guns, it would even be a VERY difficult task for the Military. They'd wish they
  were back in Afghanistan or Viet Nam rather than take on the Cajuns back in the Bayous!!!!!!  Besides, it is unlawful for the

it just shows the stupid fear and paranoia that drives most gun nuts, especially the ones who somehow think small arms fire could stop even a third world country from destroying whole neighborhoods of gun nuts in mere minutes.  nobody is going to go door to door to take guns. not in this country.  they are not that dangerous to the powers that be. if somehow the use of assault weapons with high capacity clips was used to attack something higher up on the political food chain, like say the state legislature in a certain state, by some really determined terrorists in a real politically motivated terrorist attack, i believe assault weapons would be banned the next day.  but as long as they used to slaughter large numbers of ordinary people or school kids, who congregate in areas that are soft targets, like schools, malls, workplaces, music concerts in las vegas, and not targeting politicians where they congregate, the NRA can still tell their repub elected stooges to relax, there is no possible harm to them from allowing assault weapons and high capacity clips to be legally bought and sold in huge numbers to any asshole who has enough dough to buy them, even if he cannot pass a background check.
