Special counsel agrees Paul Manafort's crimes call for 19-24 years in prison

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s office agreed that onetime Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s financial crimes warrant a prison sentence of 19-24 years, but stops short of taking a position of their own on a suggested prison term.

Special counsel prosecutors refrain from taking a position of their own on Manafort’s sentencing, but call his crimes “serious, longstanding, and bold.”

So Special counsel Robert Mueller’s will be the prosecuting attorney once he is finished with his witch hunt on collision?

No. Manafort has already had his trial. He is scheduled to be sentenced in March. In the meantime, he is sitting in prison because he couldn't abide by the conditions of his bond.

True, but for a while there, it looked like his sentence would be minimal. It's his own fault he is now sitting in prison and facing 20 years more. If he hadn't lied after getting a plea deal, and if he hadn't tampered with witnesses, he would have probably sailed through with only a year or two. Oh well...once corrupt, always corrupt.

Thats what we've been saying. Its been a witch hunt from day #1.  You hated that non politician dared be elected so you wrote your movie on how to destroy him, not because of anything he did, but only because you did not like him. And anyone near him had better beware. Thats what normal people refer to as unadulterated Hate.

What does any of that drivel have to do with Manafort's crimes, being allowed bond to await sentencing, witness tampering while out on bond, being offered and accepting a plea deal, then lying after the fact? He put himself where he is by proving he is not capable of following the law. He deserves 20 years.

Old news.  He was convicted last summer; two counts of bank fraud, five counts of tax fraud, and one charge of failing to disclose foreign bank accounts.  And then, Sept,  pleaded guilty to failing to register as an agent of a foreign power while conducting lobbying work for Ukraine in the United States and taking steps to prevent the firms and lobbyists he hired from registering as foreign agents.  There is no reason he shouldn't have been prosecuted years ago.
