Illegal border crossings are lower than they've been for decades.  trump can declare an emergency but using money for something congress hasn't approved is a different story.

If tRump declares an emergency for wall funding it will be tied up in the courts for years and probably won't be decided before tRump is out of office. It will probably go to the Supreme Court and the republicans on the SC will see it's dangers and no emergency and turn it down.

But then in the future with a Democratic President could declare emergencies on Global Warming, Gun Control, Medicare for All, and what ever the President's heart's desires.


tRump will open a can of worms as he is a worm himself.

Millions of families do not have a Health Care Plan. National Emergency, requiring immediate action. Take money from the DOD to enact a Single Payer Plan. Wow! This precedent is going to work out well. After that, the next national emergency will be the ecological damage done by the wall and fencing. Down Comes the wall. More DOD money used. Thanks Trump for setting this all up with a fake National Emergency.

Did he declare the emergency yet? This is going to be great.  Who would have ever thought the Republicans would be the ones to help set up a single payer health care system? I hope the next Democratic President doesn't mess with the second amendment, but it could happen. I suppose that president could declare a national ecological emergency caused by the wall and redirect money to have sections of it torn down. What other national emergencies could the next president fix with the EO pen?
