He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.

MAGA Policies bring Misery and Death to America!

« on: 02 11, 19, 03:17:36:PM » Reply

As President Donald Trump heads to El Paso, Texas, on Monday for his first campaign rally of the year, some local officials and law enforcement are
speaking out against his recent claims on border security.

There are concerns that the president, holding a rally in a 6,000-seat arena on Monday night, will share what some officials call a misguided view on
the effectiveness of a border fence in El Paso.

During his State of the Union address last week, Trump claimed El Paso has become one of the safest cities in America because of a barrier fence,
igniting a firestorm of reactions from state and local representatives.

"The border city of El Paso, Texas, used to have extremely high rates of violent crime -- one of the highest in the country, and considered one of our
nation's most dangerous cities," Trump said. "Now, with a powerful barrier in place, El Paso is one of our safest cities."  (Bold-Faced LIE!)

Hours later, the El Paso County sheriff denounced the president's remarks.

"It is sad to hear President Trump state falsehoods about El Paso, Texas, in an attempt to justify the building of a 2,000-mile wall," Sheriff Richard
Wiles told ABC News. "While it is true that El Paso is one of the safest cities in the nation, it has never been considered one of our nation's most
dangerous cities. And El Paso was a safe city long before any wall was built."

El Paso Mayor Dee Margo slammed the president on Twitter: "El Paso was NEVER one of the MOST dangerous cities in the US. We've had a fence for
10 years and it has impacted illegal immigration and curbed criminal activity. It is NOT the sole deterrent. Law enforcement in our community
continues to keep us safe."

Former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, whose hometown is El Paso, also engaged in the debate, calling the 2006 legislation "misguided."

"Our government built a border fence in El Paso in 2008, a misguided response to 9/11 (no terrorists have crossed the southern border and attacked
this country). It didn't make us any safer," O'Rourke said in a tweet.

On Monday, when the president takes the stage in El Paso, O'Rourke will do the same a stone's throw away. Trump's rally will take place at the larger
El Paso County Coliseum, while O'Rourke will speak at the Chalio Acosta Sports Center.

The O'Rourke rally, according to organizers, will "show the country the reality of the border -- a vibrant, safe, bi-national community that proudly
celebrates its culture, history, diversity and status as a city of immigrants."

Alex Wong/Getty Images Texas sends 38 lawmakers to Congress — 36 House members and two senators — and 25 of them are Republican. None of them are willing to endorse President Trump's plan for a gulf-to-sea border wall. Not all of Texas' congressional delegation necessarily opposes the wall, but when The Texas Tribune asked about Trump's signature policy issue a few weeks ago, none would go on record as thinking it is a good idea.
Many of them were in favor of erecting barriers in some sections of the border, adding Border Patrol officers, and using surveillance technology, but Sens. John Cornyn (R) and Ted Cruz (R) only backed completing the last 50 miles of 700 miles of border fencing approved by Congress in 2006, most of it in Arizona. Others fretted about using eminent domain to seize land from ranchers, often family land passed down for generations.
Rep. Will Hurd (R), whose competitive House district spans 800 miles of border, from San Antonio to right outside El Paso, released a stronger statement on Wednesday. "Building a wall is the most expensive and least effective way to secure the border," he said. "Big Bend National Park and many areas in my district are perfect examples of where a wall is unnecessary and would negatively impact the environment, private property rights, and economy," Hurd said, adding that it would be "impossible" to build a wall in some sections of his district. Officials in El Paso County, Texas, passed a resolution Monday, just hours before President Trump was set to hold a campaign rally in the area, pushing back on the president's remarks about the situation at the border.
MSNBC correspondent Garrett Haake posted a photo of the resolution, which states that the county is "disillusioned by President Trump's lies regarding the border and our community."
"Though it is difficult to welcome him to El Paso while he continues to proliferate such untruths, we do welcome him to meet with local officials to become properly informed about our great and safe region," the resolution says.

Trump is set to hold his first campaign rally of the year on Monday in the city of El Paso. He is expected to use the setting near the southern border to bolster support for his proposed wall.
The resolution lays out a number of concerns with Trump's rhetoric surrounding illegal immigration, particularly as it relates to El Paso. The resolution says Trump "has continuously made inaccurate claims about the United States' southern border, including El Paso."
It also cited Trump's State of the Union speech from Tuesday, when he said El Paso's violent crime rate dropped precipitously after a barrier was built along the border. The resolution noted that the county's violent crime rate dropped 62 percent from 1993-2007, and that a fence wasn't installed until 2008.
Other local officials have vowed to challenge Trump on any inaccurate remarks about El Paso.
El Paso Mayor Dee Margo (R) said over the weekend that he would "absolutely" correct Trump if he repeated a false line about crime in the city. He noted that the fence along the border has been useful, but has not solved problems single-handedly.

trump, and/or one of his less ignorant advisers, has to know he is lying about the wall causing El Paso crime to drop.  It is well known that El Paso has always been one of the safest cities in the country with a population over 500,000, we knew about it here in Texas many many decades ago.  and that was before the border fence act of 2006 was even signed, and before it was first built in 2009 or so!!

Trump has referred to the wall as being the reason crime is low in El Paso during his lying State of the Union speech and many times since- why?  BECAUSE HE IS A STUPID FUCKING WORTHLESS LIAR.

Here is a graph of El Paso's crime rate thru the years.  Democrats please help the Trump Voters understand how to read a graph.

I'll bet no one was flying a Mexican flag, unlike those at Beneto O'Rourke's rally.

The fact is your Beneto rally was small with those attending flying Mexican flags and Our Presidents rally jammed, with no Mexican flags to be seen, ms/mr davik62

The fact is that Beto's rally was just as big, if not bigger than tRump's!

tRump lied about his numbers, lied about El Paso, and is our Liar-In-Chief!

tRump will prepare a pardon for El Chapo, real soon.
