but as far as chicago goes, they had much more homicide rates when reagan was president...so, i guess blammie would blame reagan for not being tough on crime...they kept zooming, in chicago and the country, until about 1993/1994, when President Clinton, and the democratic congress passed the assault weapon ban and police funding laws and crackdown on gangs laws, and since then, the murder and crime rate in this country dropped like a rock...

chicago's homicide rate is about the same as the county where Trump spends most of his time, Mar-a-Lago, except for occasional visits to Washington. 

The homicide rate for Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump lives except for occasional visits to the White House, was 2.3, about 6 times higher!!  The violent crime rate for Palm Beach was 9 per 100,000, which is about the same as Chicago's.

There were 23 homicides in a city of just 104,919 residents. And the rate of violent crime, which also includes rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults, was 9 for every 1,000 residents — the same as the far bigger Chicago, records show.
