Adam Lanza was a certified nutcase. Explain why Nancy Lanza even allowed her son to handle deadly weapons in the first place. If his gun-nut mother had not maintained an unsecured arsenal in their home, the probability of Adam easily getting his hands on the murder weapon would had been extremely low. Name the controlling legal authority that declared him mentally ill and a threat to himself and others!

Explain why that authority violated APA ethics by allowing such a person to roam free!

Explain why Nancy Lanza even allowed her son to handle deadly weapons in the first place.

Why not?  It was an activity both enjoyed and she saw as a way of bonding with her distant son!

She was murdered by Adam.

Yes, she was, d2dvd. Nancy Lanza was murdered by her own son. As, a matter of fact, she was the first victim of his shooting spree that day. Think about it: she thought firearms would teach her son responsibility, and her son murdered her, using a firearm she bought. How ironic!

You're confused again, d2dvd! Adam Lanza might had been an adult, but he was not a rational adult; he was mentally ill. His shooting spree at Sandy Hook Elementary--and his taking his own life--is proof of that. And, furthermore, the fact that he apparently had easy access to the arsenal his mother kept in their residence, and the fact that he shot his mother dead while she slept, is a logical reason for why the firearms kept in the Lanza household should had been secured.
