I have a favorite Christmas train that has been a fixture in our outdoor decor for nearly 20 years...high quality, all metal construction.  Well, this year, the lights finally gave out.  So, I took off nearly 30 feet of the colored lights that were over the whole thing, and managed to restring enough rope lights to illuminate the wheels.  Now, I can use it and will put some spotlights on either end to light up the figures in the cars...I think it looks pretty good, for an amateur, LOL.

How cute!  Haven't got our tree or laser lights up yet.  When I was growing up in the UK we didn't decorate until Christmas Eve.  We must have been mad but Christmas there didn't last for very long.  I am still in the habit of dragging my feet and then I get in a bit of a panic.

Thank you.  Our shop looks like a bomb went off.  There are dozens of totes and boxes sitting in all manner of unpacking, and disorder.  I can't imagine waiting to decorate emily.  I have to have my lights up as early after Thanksgiving as possible to enjoy for the whole season. 
Living out in the country, it's funny to watch people drive by and slow to a crawl as they pass ours and our neighbor's house, who loves to decorate as much as I do.

I have so many laser lights it can probably been seen from space now.  ha ha ha  People crawl by here too.
